Common questions.

For a single team running a single pipeline, the built-ins are fine and we will tell you so. Custom BI earns its keep when you need closed-loop attribution from ad spend, multi-source overlays (Kommo + Stripe + ads), board-pack scheduling, or row-level security across regions/teams.

No. Under roughly 50,000 deals/year we pull directly from the Kommo API on a schedule — no warehouse. Above that, or when you need Kommo joined with Stripe / ads / ERP, we recommend a small BigQuery or Postgres layer (€20–80/mo of infra).

Looker Studio is free and fast — pick it if Sales and Marketing own the dashboards. Power BI is grown-up — pick it when Finance owns the stack and you need row-level security, drill-throughs, complex modelling. Metabase is the answer for self-hosted, sovereignty-conscious setups.

Yes — that is part of the handover. Looker Studio and Power BI both support guarded edit rights: filters, date ranges, view-creation. Schema and joins stay on us; surface-level edits go to your ops lead.

Hourly refresh by default on Starter. Quarter-hourly or near-real-time on Business and Enterprise where the data layer supports it. We document the refresh cadence next to every dashboard so no-one is surprised by a 17-minute-old number.

Every build ships with a signed DPA from WeAreWay Ltd, documented retention windows, lawful-basis notes, and row-level security where the BI tool supports it. EU/UK data residency by default; we will not push data to US-only services without your written sign-off.

Usually we complement, not replace. Most clients keep their existing finance reporting and we add a Kommo-native sales/marketing layer that talks to it. Full BI replacement is rare and we will say so honestly during scoping.

Step 2 — data modelling — is where we surface the data-quality issues. Duplicate companies, mis-staged deals, currency mismatches, deleted-but-not-archived records. We document them and propose either fixes (paid Optimization scope) or workarounds in the model. We will not silently average over bad data.
